Lucky me, it was much closer to home this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>After poring over <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mreclipse.com\/pubs\/Atlas2024.html\">weather<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/eclipsophile.com\/2024tse\/\">prediction<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pivotalweather.com\/eclipse2024\/\">maps<\/a> for months, we made tentative plans to road trip over to Indiana to camp with friends from Kentucky. But, the weather about a week out made it look like it would be clear in my home state of Vermont.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So we adjusted our objective and dashed up to Danville, where a friend from high school has a house with a huge view. Thin high clouds turned up right before showtime, but overall the skies were clear. Didn&#8217;t quite work, but I still like the image result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I handheld by small mirrorless with a monster 450 lens to get a shot of the corona, and again didn&#8217;t nail the focus. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, 10\/10 would eclipse again.
