While our bathroom is getting some work done, we are staying in Philly for a few weeks. Ruth is working in person at Jawnt<\/a>, I am seeing family and friends, and we are both eating our way through some excellent restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Michelin recommendations came out this week, and we were pleased to see that many of our choices were recognized. We went to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little Fish BYOB<\/a>, where I paired our tasting menu with a nice Kirkland
Friday Saturday Sunday<\/a>, which was recognized with a star
Dance Robot<\/a>, which has a great website and katsu curry
Mawn<\/a>, where we waited in line for lunch. I recommend the prawns.
Yuhiro Sushi<\/a> for excellent omakase
Pizzeria Beddia<\/a>, recommended by Bib Gourmand
Chingon Taqueria<\/a>, which was as good as any place I’ve been in California
Bastia<\/a>, which had excellent cocktails and Sardinian small plates
Murph\u2019s Bar<\/a>, which had great local beer and excellent food
Kalaya<\/a>, which was recognized with a star
Jaffa Bar<\/a>, which had delicious cocktails and oysters<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also got a hoagie from Liberty Kitchen<\/a>, handpies from Little Suzie\u2019s<\/a> and bagels Philly Style<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m glad my scale is back at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
