Libya Elections

In a late-breaking development, I got a contract to work on a voting registration system in Libya. I’ll be here for two months building data analysis dashboards, reviewing technical infrastructure, and fixing issues as they come up. It’s the next part of my quest to learn more about international development, as well as do “good work with smart people.”

Malta Layover

Well, I thought I was going to Libya, but due to some delays with my visa, I ended up spending the weekend in Malta.

Leaving Zanzibar

We ended the trip with one final day of crazy travel, with four consecutive flights to get us back home.

Jambiani

We left Chumbe and headed to the east side of the island for a few more days on the beach. Zanzibar has a number of exclusive resorts, but we wanted to go to an area where hotels are a little more integrated into the community.

Chumbe Island

We spent today at an exceptional non-profit coral preserve at Chumbe Island.
