We ended the trip with one final day of crazy travel, with four consecutive flights to get us back home.

We started with a small flight from Zanzibar back to Dar es Salaam on a ten seat Cessna. Then we waited a few hours for our delayed Uganda Air flight back to Entebbe. On the way we passed Kilimanjaro, and I was able to get the picture of it that I was denied last time.

For our 12 hour layover in Entebbed, we stayed in the transit lounge and I managed to confuse everyone by trying to exit in order to check into our British airways flight. After being told I was “doing it wrong”, we eventually got our onward tickets and bags checked for us, and we were off to London.

Due to a new work contract I’m actually not going home right away, so we said goodbye in Heathrow Terminal 5, and Ruth was back on the long flight to SF.
