Enjoyed a quick room service breakfast of pho, congee, and croissants. Took a taxi to the airport, and used the last of our small-ish bills for a tip.

After a quick breakfast at hotel, we got a Grab to airport and checked in for our short flight back to Hanoi. The group in front of us polished off a bottle of Jaeger in line. We are all on different trips…
Today we have a full day in Hue, but I resolved to take it a little easier given the heat and humidity. We fit in several more temples, but also a nap.
After a night on the train, we got to the gorgeous Hue Gar in the morning. A short walk to Hotel Azerai, where we found our room ready early so we got to shower and leave our bags. Then we set off for a full day tour with Khanh Hong, an excellent guide who speaks both English and French flawlessly.
After leaving the Halong cruise, we got a transfer to see the same karst formations on land in Ninh Binh. With only a day here, we tried to make the most of the natural environment before heading onward.
