To celebrate our mutual 30th birthdays Ruth and I took a trip to Hawaii, driving to the road to Hana on Maui by Jeep and around the big island is a sporty coupe.

While it’s not quite as adventurous a destination as some of our recent ones, the beauty of the land, sea and mountains are breathtaking. Makes you wonder what these islands would be like if left to the governance of their own people, and not forcibly colonized by the US in 1893.
