Whiskey hates fireworks and I love lobsters, so we headed north for the fourth.
We found an awesome cabin last-minute on Hipcamp, surrounded by a field of wildflowers. We got a good show of fireflies at night, and even decent aurora.
We beat the heat by swimming in the ocean, and Ruth did some painting en plein air. She also showed us grounds of the Haystack Mountain School where she spent two weeks doing pottery a few years ago. It seems great, and maybe I’ll get the chance to do a workshop someday.
